If you have been injured as a result of the implantation of the inter intrauterine device Mirena, our network of experienced lawyers are ready to help fight for you. You do not have to pay anything until your case is settled.

Mirena is a hormonal intrauterine device (IUD) that's inserted into the uterus for long-term birth control (contraception). A T-shaped plastic frame that releases a type of progestin, Mirena thickens the cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching or fertilizing an egg. Mirena also thins the lining of the uterus and partially suppresses ovulation.

Complications associated with the use of the IUD Mirena include but are not limited to:

  • Formations of Ovarian Cysts
  • Perforation of the Uterus
  • Embedment of the Device in the Uterus or Cervix
  • Migration of the Device from its Original Location
  • May Cause Miscarriages in Women who are Pregnant
  • Damage may Require Surgical Removal

If you or a loved one has developed any side effects listed above, please contact The Sentinel Group® today.
